CBT, DBT, ACT – Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Relationship/Marital Problems
LPC (MO), NCC (NBCC)
I have over 20 years of experience working with clients from adolescence onward in individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy. Using a mindfulness-based, cognitive-behavioral approach, I treat a wide range of conditions, with a focus on the anxiety disorders (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Social Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Panic Disorder with and without Agoraphobia, and Simple Phobias) and depression.
I also treat individuals with self-esteem and self-image problems and marital and relationship conflicts. I utilize the most effective structures, methods, and techniques from traditional cognitive behavioral therapy and the latest mindfulness-based (third wave) therapies, a combination which I believe provides the best possible treatment and outcome for my clients. I take a holistic approach to treatment, taking diet, sleep, exercise, and other lifestyle choices into account when formulating a therapeutic case conceptualization. Earning my client’s trust and developing a collaborative, therapeutic relationship is the key to successful treatment.
